Linda Toporek, CPC, CDRC

Linda is the owner and program director at Family Ties. She has worked with families in crisis since 1987. Most were dealing with issues such as child abuse/neglect, sexual assault, domestic violence or high conflict divorce. Linda earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the College of Charleston with a minor in Women’s Studies. She is also a Certified Life Coach and Certified Divorce Recovery Coach. Since the beginning, Linda has made great efforts to fill the gaps in services for families in the Tri-county area. Services provided by Family Ties include Co-parent Training and Support and Supervised Visitation Services. Co-parent Training and Support Services help families going through separation/divorce or custody disputes.  Linda works with parents to reduce the conflict in their families and to help them learn to effectively co-parent their children. They also provide co-parenting educational workshops and divorce recovery support groups. Linda has provided Supervised Visitation Services for the Tri-county area since 2002. This includes off-site visits, on-site visits, monitored phone/skype calls, and therapeutic supervision. Clarification, reunification and transition assistance are also provided as part of our services. Family Ties is an active member of the Supervised Visitation Network and follows their national standards and guidelines for supervised visitation. In May 2012, Linda was a presenter at the 20th Annual Conference of the Supervised Visitation Network in Florida. She has provided over 10,000 hours of supervised visitation and trained/supervised over 30 staff and volunteers to provide supervision services. Linda supervises visits and oversees the supervisors for Family Ties of the Lowcountry.
